We have part-time group fitness instructor positions in a variety of area: aquatics, cycling, Les Mills, and other classs types.
The Group Fitness Instructors will be responsible for teaching and instructing Kroc Center members in various fitness and instructional exercises, while providing a safe environment at the RJKCCC in Quincy, IL. This position will monitor all users in the aquatic classes they teach, keep records, check receipts, assist patrons, and operate and set up equipment as needed.
This is a part-time position working approximately 12 - 18 hours a week. Some weekends and holidays required.
The Fitness & Gym Attendant is responsible for assisting patrons in the fitness, weight and gym areas, ensuring quality customer service and serving as a first responder in case of emergency situations in these areas. This position will also conduct equipment orientation sessions, clean equipment, re-rack equipment, answer patron questions, take hourly counts, and assist with preventative maintenance for equipment.
This opening is a part-time that is normally scheduled less than 20 hours a week. Periodic weekends and Holidays required.
Under the supervision of the Membership Services Supervisor, the Child Watch Attendant is responsible for the safety, care and wellbeing of the children in the Kroc Center Child Watch Area. Attendants will follow the policies and procedures of the center regarding personal conduct and security, as well as demonstrate a true desire to work and play with children.
This is a part-time position to cover vacant shifts. Shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Many shifts are 12 hours shifts and may be overnight.
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Social Services Director, this position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies and standards. Maintain shelter security. Perform related duties to maintains control and assist homeless clients in the shelter. Each monitor is responsible for their shift to include cooking appropriate meals for clients, cleaning duties, maintain records, and case management duties as assigned by Regional Social Services Director.
This position is a part-time position working a routine 24 hours per week. Schedule is primarily 4-5 hour shifts five days a week. A Saturday schedule (every other) is a requirement. The position is eligible for paid holidays, vacation, sick, life insurance and pension.
This position is expected to perform all functions of a Sales Floor Clerk. This includes but is not limited to: Providing excellent customer service; lifting and carrying donated/ purchased items; stocking and merchandising the different sales areas in the store; and cash register operations. The recreational sports program supervisor is responsible for implementation of team and individual youth and adult sports leagues, sports tournaments, and the rock climbing wall. This position is responsible for supervising all staff members within these areas.

Under the supervision of the Youth Development & Outreach Specialist, this is a Ministry position responsible for connecting, leading and developing the youth in the various programs and activities including summer camps, after school programs, the game room, and special events at the Kroc Corps Community Center. The Youth Development Assistant is to be the face of the Kroc Center to the youth of the community and to the parents of the youth. The Youth Development Assistant will be a trustworthy conduit through which parents and youth can connect to the center.
This is a part-time Personal Trainer position. The successful Personal Trainer will become benefit-eligible once their client base meets or exceeds 20 client sessions on a weekly basis.
The Personal Trainers will be responsible for conducting one-on-one, group, and class-size fitness training instruction to clients, while providing a safe environment at the RJKCCC in Quincy, IL. This position will monitor all users in the sessions they conduct, perform fitness assessments, provide fitness equipment orientations, keep records, check receipts, assist patrons, and operate and set up equipment as needed.
This position is part time and intermittent depending on the scheduling of tournaments & leagues. Availability for evenings & weekends required.
Under the direct supervision of the Recreational Sports Specialist, the Tournament & League Supervisor is responsible for setting up event venues, ensure referees and scorekeepers are prepared to work, officiating occasionally, enforcing policies, working with teams and checking rosters. The Supervisor is responsible for monitoring activities, officials, players and spectators while on site and enforcing rules. He or she will put all equipment and bleachers away, pick up and clear area. The Supervisor is responsible for keeping and reporting standings and submitting administrative paperwork to the Recreational Sports Specialist.
This is a part-time position working 15 or less hours a week.
The Rock Climbing Wall Attendant is responsible for monitoring, instructing and assisting patrons in the proper and safe use of the rock climbing and bouldering wall at the Kroc Center. This position will also conduct climbing wall and climbing gear orientation sessions, set new routes, answer patron questions, take hourly counts, inventory equipment, lead rental groups, and assist with preventative maintenance for the wall and its equipment.

The Lifeguard staff will be responsible for knowing and enforcing all aquatic center policies and procedures, while providing a safe aquatic environment at the RJKCCC in Quincy, IL. This position will monitor all users in the aquatic areas, assist patrons, assist with cleaning the aquatic facilities, and operate and set up equipment as needed.
