Keep daily maintenance records and notify the Sports & Recreation management team of the need for significant or immediate repair of supplies and equipment. - Participate in designated staff training. - Attend all scheduled team meetings and staff meetings as directed by the Sports & Recreation department. - All other duties as assigned. The position serves to facilitate programming within the kitchen itself and supports congregational events with culinary needs, as well as all other “internal” events requiring food and beverage. The Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen meets The Salvation Army and governmental health standards.   WORK SCHEDULE:  Part-time, 20 to 29 hours per week. Monday through Friday 11am - 5pm.  May include some weekends as needed.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Designs and implements solutions to internal programmatic food requests and events. - Prepares and serves food and beverage when requested by Kroc Center internal programs while mitigating expense by maximizing on-hand resources and donations. - Is in charge of coordinating and managing the staff needed to produce food to sustain Kroc Center programming; i.e., Summer Feeding, Family Dinner, Schools out Lunches etc. - Responsible for the management of inventory following FIFO practices. - Demonstrate a high level of quality for internal requests. - Works closely with the Events Department to coordinate resource availability. - Maintains all equipment and facilities to ensure a clean safe environment while complying with governmental inspection requirements. - Is responsible for ensuring the Kitchen and appropriate staff follow all ServSafe protocols. - Develop and implement general kitchen, meal preparation, and serving and cleaning procedures. - Develops and maintains relationships to procure donations of consumable and/or perishable goods, communicating and assisting finance with valuation for gifts in kind reporting. - Provide support for rental events as needed under the direction of the department manager. - Attend all required department and facility meetings and training as assigned. - All other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will have seasonal supervision of additional staff that are needed to execute Summer Feeding and other large-scale utilization of the kitchen.   Education and/or Experience: This position requires successful completion of high school (or equivalent) as well as a minimum of two (2) years in the food industry and supervisory experience. The Slide and Pool Attendant is responsible for the oversight of the Aquatics slide and maintaining established policies and procedures.  Ensures the safety of guests when they are in and around the slide and other areas of the pool deck.  Promotes a positive environment for both guests and employees.    WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time up to 19 hours per week; varied days/and hours Sunday 1p-5p, Tuesday 3:30p-5:30p, Monday/Wed/Thurs/Friday 4p-8p, Saturday 12p-6p.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Maintains a professional and positive rapport with members and guests. - Enforces the height requirements on the slides to ensure safety. - Enforces the center’s policies, rules and regulations. - Completes cleaning tasks to include cleaning the pool, slide and locker rooms as assigned by Head Guard on duty. - Maintains pools within the State Health Department guidelines. - May assist in maintaining order and discipline. - Respond to all emergency situations. - Completes injury and incident reports. - The work schedule may include morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. - Attend all mandatory meetings as scheduled by the Aquatics Manager. - All other duties as assigned. The Sports & Recreation Manager is responsible for assisting with the growth and daily operations of the Sports and Recreation Department and facility.  Included are the ongoing monitoring, programming, staffing, equipment care, and promotion of all programs related to sports, leagues and tournaments.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage the short and long-range planning process for the department, including a visionary plan for growth that accomplishes goals and objectives consistent with the overall Mission of the Kroc Center. - Develop, direct and guide programming for sports and recreation with the goal of increasing participation, satisfaction, and revenue. - Work to insure a safe Sports & Recreation environment for all. - In conjunction with the Officer for Program Development, develop cooperative ventures that engage the community and groups in the development of Sports & Recreation programs. - Monitor and maintain all facilities, supplies, and equipment related to Sports & Recreation programming coordinating with management and facilities dept. as required. - Provide timely and accurate record keeping of program elements, including statistical reports, accounting of expenditures and collections, program evaluations and other reporting as required. - Responsible to coordinate and administer the overall department budget. - Actively seek out grant and other funding opportunities, working closely with the Kroc Center Director of Donor Relations as appropriate. - Follow and ensure adherence to The Salvation Army and Kroc Center Policies and Procedures. - Maintain clear communication with staff, volunteers, and program participants including the development of memos, schedules, flyers, etc. - Provide and/or participate in designated staff training and professional development courses as required. - Coordinate marketing of Sports and Rec programming with appropriate staff. - Provide oversight and coordinate training of instructors, coaches, volunteers, referees, leaders, and instructors in the delivery of effective sport, league, and recreation programs including rules, coaching code of conduct, and coaching techniques. - Responsible for the writing of employee and volunteer job descriptions for the Sports & Recreation department, providing clear roles and expectations. - Effectively recruit, hire, train and develop Sports & Recreation staff. - Provide overall leadership of all departmental staff, including awareness of ongoing performance. Will take the primary role in drafting and delivering performance reviews, corrective actions, and other staff related official documents - Oversee staff scheduling, timekeeping and employee record keeping. - Communicate with Sports & Recreation staff through regular meetings, identifying needs, soliciting feedback, and developing opportunities for training and other possible certifications, etc. - Maintaining the cleanliness of assigned area. Some officiating duties depending on age division. Promotion and marketing of programs (depending on size of program and specific program). - Participates in the Manager on Duty Program. - Participate in designated staff training and professional development courses. - Attend all required department and facility meetings as assigned. - Schedule varies and can include evenings, weekend, and holiday hours. - All other duties as assigned. Report all facility issues to the Health & Fitness Assistant and/or Manager. - Maintain and report damaged equipment and properly maintain classroom structure and cleanliness. - Attend all required department and facility meetings and training as assigned. - Follow and ensure adherence to The Salvation Army and Kroc Center policies and procedures. - The work schedule varies and includes evenings and weekends with possible holiday hours. - All other duties as assigned.   Supervisory Responsibilities:  None   Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).  Some related experience teaching general fitness classes and/or personal training for individuals or small groups is preferred.   Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.   - Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously - Intermediate skills in Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.  As well as the ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system. - Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships. - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters   Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks.   Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: National Accredited Certification such as but not limited to Aerobics and Fitness Association (AFAA), American Council on Exercise (ACE) or hold a specific certification in the class being taught; for example, Zumba®, AFAA Personal Trainer, or TurboKick®.  Requires CPR training and bi-yearly renewal.  Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional (CPR for Pro) is required within the first 30 days of employment and must be maintained on a bi-yearly basis.
