    The Education Lead in conjunction with the Fine Arts & Education Manager, is responsible for assisting, creating and implementing a comprehensive education platform designed to meet the spiritual, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of the community. The Education Lead will collaborate with the Fine Arts & Education Manager and the ministry team in developing educational programs to fulfill those needs. Successful candidates possess strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and interpersonal skills – as well as passion for fulfilling the mission of The Salvation Army. The Education Lead must also be able to lead a group, work as a team and build rapport with families, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors of the community. The Education Lead will be responsible for maintaining a culture of encouragement to express the love of Jesus Christ and to reach out to members of the community of all ages and walks of life no matter where they may stand in their relationships with Christ.

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2 years of related educational, ministry and/or organizational experience, supervision.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience which, in the sole determination of The Salvation Army, provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform this role, will be considered.

    1. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and energetically with staff, members, and community organizations.
    2. Have the ability to work with people of all ages in a capacity of leadership, counseling and education.
    3. Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
    4. Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
    5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
