    • Ensure kitchen and dining room areas are equipped and kept clean and safe.
    • Actively participate in staff training and meetings as needed
    • Arrive at your position at the assigned time
    • Demonstrate and teach the values of caring, honesty, respect, faith in God, and responsibility to all campers and staff
    • Maintain positive public relations with parents
    • Serve Breakfast and lunch at assigned times.
    • Inventory food on a regular bases
    • Make sure you have all of your menu items in advance
    • Make sure all health codes are followed
    • Follow all “Safe From Harm” guidelines
    • Prepare and pack lunches for field trips
    • Responsible to make sure dining room and kitchen are clean after each meal.
    • Communicate with other Day Camp staff
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Be able to cook healthy child friendly meals using the standers set by the USDA summer meal program.
    • Complete daily paper work from USDA and adhere to standers set by them
    • Be able to plan and cook for a large number of children and staff based within the parameters that the U.S.D.A. has predetermined.
    • Willingness to accept supervision and guidance
    • Desire and ability to work with and relate to children indoors and outdoors
    • Good role model, high integrity, and adaptability
