    Responsibilities

    • Supervise all aspects of the camper’s day including transportation, group activities, lunch, swimming, gym time, outdoor activities, musical and elective classes, etc.
    • Ensure Day Camp program areas and equipment are kept clean and safe and put away at the end of the day
    • Actively participate in staff training and meetings
    • Arrive at your position at the assigned time
    • Demonstrate and teach the values of caring, honesty, respect, faith in God, and responsibility to all campers and staff
    • Maintain positive public relations with parents
    • Assist with snacks, lunches, and clean up
    • Assist with or lead all projects like crafts, musical, etc.
    • Follow all “Safe From Harm” guidelines
    • Supervise assigned children while on field trips (while at the pool, this DOES include getting into the pool with the children)
    • Help with the maintenance of all areas used by the day camp.
    • Assist with devotions as needed
    • Use talents and abilities to benefit the Day Camp program
    • Provide routine first aid
    • Communicate with other Day Camp staff
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Desire and ability to work with and relate to children indoors and outdoors
    • Willingness to accept supervision and guidance
    • Ability to teach and assist in teaching skills and activities
    • Good role model, high integrity, and adaptability
    • Ability to participate in the activities that the kids do
    • Help with paper work from USDA and adhere to standers set by them
