    Located in Southgate Plaza, The Salvation Army Family Store is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Processor/Backdoor position.


    All sales generated by The Salvation Family Stores fund The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center located on W. Washington Blvd.  This program provides spiritual regeneration to those struggling with substance abuse.

    The Salvation Army, an international Movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church.  Its message is based on the Bible.  Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.  Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.


    Duties will include all activities related to processing donated materials efficiently and properly.  This will include, but is not limited to:


    • Interacting, collecting, and handling donations from donors.
    • Loading & unloading Store trucks.
    • Sorting, hanging, evaluating and tagging product following the standards and quotas of The Salvation Army.
    • Rotating assignments, as directed by Supervisor or Manager, and learning all functions of the processing systems.
    • Maintaining a sense of order and cleanliness to effectively process donated materials.
    • Other duties as assigned by Management.



    Requirements are as follows:


    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Must have friendly disposition to interact with donors.
    • Must be a self-starter and be able to peform all assigned tasks quickly.
    • Must be able to work alone, as a team, or on a production line.
    • Must be able to adjust & work with outside weather conditions.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to frequently reach, lift & carry with hands and arms.
    • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
    • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
