  • Overview

    Duties as Associate Counselor include in cabin residence and support to the Unit Counselor. The associate is required to be present in cabin during the peak population times of early morning and evenings. Associate will supervise campers at all meals.


    Program Team Members will assist Youth Department with planning and leading evening programs, class activities, free time activities and supervision of campers.  Program Team Members must be outgoing and able to actively engage campers, volunteer leaders, Salvation Army officers, and fellow camp staff.   Program Team Members must approach assignments with their full creativity, enthusiasm, and cooperation to create a distinct camp culture of teamwork and mutual responsibility. Ensure that all aspects of the camper experience are conducted in a compliant fashion for The Salvation Army “Safe From Harm” program


    Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must be creative, outgoing and enthusiastic. Must be an active Christian, ready to share about their own personal faith. Must be committed to working as a team member. Must accept direction well.   Must be personally driven to follow through on assignments.
