The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a part-time addictions counselor. Our 180-bed men’s residential facility on Chicago’s north side provides housing, work, and group/individual counseling, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment.
Addictions counselor candidates should possess -- or be in the process of obtaining -- a CADC certification. Addictions-related coursework and/or two years' experience are a plus. Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) are required. Average caseload per counselor is between 20 and 25 residents.
Starting pay is $14.00 per hour at 25 to 29 hours per week, on a Tuesday thru Saturday afternoon/evening schedule. Paid sick time, paid vacation time, and paid discretionary time are included.
