    POSITION TITLE:             Rental Coordinator/Driver     

     

    LOCATION/DEPT:            Chicago Temple Corps

     

    REPORTS TO:                   Corps Officers

     

    FLSA CATEGORY:             Non-Exempt

     

    STATUS TYPE:                 Regular Part-Time

     

    OUTCOMES

    Assist with the transporting, delivery, and scheduling the rental groups associated with the Chicago Temple Corps.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Rentals

    1. Will be responsible in coordinating the rentals and rental schedules. 
    2. Serve as on-site person for Corps rentals (wedding, basketball, funerals, and other special events).

    Driving

    1. Serve as primary Corps driver including:
      1. Driving for The Salvation Army Booth Manor seniors as needed.
      2. Serve as the Community Care driver and team member during visitation. 

    Other duties

    1. Serve as back-up in opening and securing the Corps facility in the absence of Corps Officer.
    2. Assist in the coordination of Community Care Ministry.
    3. Assist in the general up keep and maintenance of Corps property.
    4. All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • A High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
    • Previous driving experience is preferred.
    • Valid Driver’s license/MVR clearance.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • This position is required to do light to moderate physical work and must be able to lift 25 pounds.
    • In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to frequently move; position oneself to stoop, kneel, or crouch; required to reach with and use arms and hands in the operation of a vehicle; use hands and fingers; communicate; sometimes remain stationary for some period of time.
    • The work environment for this position includes community center with a low to high noise level. 
    • Must be able to walk up/down stairs and to get around the building.
    • Must be able to drive a vehicle.
    • Must have the ability to focus.
