The Salvation Army Chicago Central Administration, located on Chicago’s north side, is seeking full-time Maintenance Workers to service our 22 department stores, 2 warehouse properties, and 2 residential rehabilitation facilities throughout the Chicagoland area.
Candidates should have a rudimentary understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building/structural systems.
Proficiency in interior structural maintenance is also of high importance, as Maintenance Workers will perform minor repairs. Physical dexterity is a must.
Maintenance Workers will respond to daily work orders as assigned by our Property Manager and must possess excellent communication, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills and a valid driver’s license are required, as is familiarity with Chicago and its surrounding suburbs because Maintenance Workers will be servicing multiple company properties each day.
Pay starts between $12.85 and $15.00 per hour (depending on experience), including paid sick time, paid vacation time, free life insurance, and very affordable medical benefits.
