The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time Addiction Counselor. Our 40-bed women’s residential facility on Chicago’s north side provides housing, work, and group/individual counseling, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment.
Addiction Counselor candidates must possess CADC certification (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) and preferably two years' experience. Average caseload per counselor is between 16 and 20 residents. In-house resident monitoring duties, after-hours intake screenings, and basic computer skills are required.
Starting pay is $14.00 per hour, evening shift.
