The Salvation Army Family Store located in Jacksonville, Illinois, is looking for someone with an eye for details who loves to multitask to join their team as a new family store team member. This is a part-time position, 18 hours per week. The schedule may be flexible to work around another job or school. Starting pay will be $8.25 an hour.
1. Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, donors, co-workers and supervisors. This includes but is not limited to such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors and customers; respect of other’s property and person; and professional an appropriate communication to and about customers, donors, co-workers and supervisors.

3. Price donated items.
4. Place donated items on racks/shelves for display
5. Assist in loading and unloading the store’s truck, customer’s vehicles, and/or donors’ vehicles.

High school or equivalent diploma and one year related work experience. Ability to operate a cash register/point of sale computer to include accurate sales transactions and making correct change. Position requires communicating with and assisting customers and working as a team with other employees. Performing the required job duties well, with minimum supervision, is required.
