This position is a part-time position working approximately 24 hours a week. Benefits includes paid holiday, vacation, sick, personal and pension. Generally the work schedule is that of three 8/hr shifts each week. Regular Saturdays is required.
This position is expected to perform all functions of a thrift store worker. This includes but is not limited to: Working with customers; lifting and carrying donated/ purchased items; sorting clothes; pricing items; preparing and placing items for display on the sales floor; operating a cash register and making change for purchased items. The majority of the work done in the position will be of the physical labor type. Basic communications and math skills to make change are required. Position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies and standards.
Education: High school/equivalent diploma.
Experience: One year related work experience or two years’ work experience without diploma. Combination of education and work experience will be considered.
