  • Overview

    The Salvation Army is seeking energetic, self-motivated individuals with retail sales and/or management experience to work at our Family Thrift Store in Brown Deer, WI.

    1. Operate cash register. Wrap/bag merchandise.
    2. Count money in cash drawers.
    3. Compute and record totals of transactions.
    4. Prepare merchandise and stock.
    5. Remove hangers and other non-clothing items from donated and returned material.
    6. Prepare, sort, hang and set up clothing, bric-a-brac, accessories.
    7. Clean shelves, counters and tables.
    8. Rag out product.
    9. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
    10. Other duties as assigned by manager.
    11. Maintain good customer relations.
    12. Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army.


    High School or GED

    Knowledge of arithmetic, adding, subtraction, and figuring percentages. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation to customers, clients, and other employees.
