    The Salvation Army Social Services Receptionist supports the general functioning of the reception area. The receptionist will meet and greet all clients and guests, conduct preliminary screening of all in-coming telephone calls and direct telephone calls to appropriate staff, sort and deliver all in-coming correspondence, and maintain client files.

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent.


    Work Experience: At least one year of full-time switchboard and office equipment operation or equivalent.


    Skills: Basic understanding of issues facing people in poverty and crises with a commitment and desire to assist individuals and families achieve stability, health, wholeness and independence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to interact positively with individuals, colleagues and collateral agencies. Basic computer and database fluency required.
