Provides quality customer service as part of the Thrift Store Operations. Receives donations, process and display merchandise, operate cash register and complete sales transactions.

• Accepts and evaluates donations for resale suitability. Ensures quality of inventory by adhering to merchandise standards when accepting donations. 
• Maintains donations area cleanliness through the store's business hours. 
• Cleans, prices and display merchandise. 
• Arranges merchandise displays throughout the store as assigned. 
• Operates cash register, assists with sales transaction and with the reconciliation of daily cash receipts. 
• Answers phone lines and provides customer service. 
• Assists customers on the sales floor and suggest sales when appropriate. 
• Builds positive donor relations by providing information regarding use of donations. 
• Actively supports a team environment among store associates. 
• Ensures a safe work environment by keeping aisles and other areas clear of debris. 
• Unloads donations from truck.

• Basic Internet search skills to research value of items. 
• Able to use a cash register.

• Ability to speak, write and understanding English in a manner sufficient for effective communication. 
• Basic math skills.

The duties of this job will be primarily performed indoors under normal room temperatures. The noise level will generally be low. Work is performed in a typical retail environment. Shifts will require some weekend and evening work.
