Do you enjoy working with a diverse population?  Do you have excellent communicaton and computer skills?  Do you have background in Human Resources?  If so, then The Salvation Army Kroc Center has an opening for you!  Currently looking for a part-time (29 hours per week) Human Resource Assitant.

Responsibilities

The Human Resource/Volunteer Assistant entails providing a comprehensive administrative support assists with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources/Volunteer functions and duties. The HR/Volunteer assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas:  calendar management, ensuring data integrity, daily administrative tasks while providing a customer focused and effective HR support service to the Kroc Center to achieve the organization goals and objectives.  Job duties include but not limited to:

  • Assist in the management and tracking of all personnel paperwork for hiring, termination, change of status and professional services agreements
  • Assist in the maintenance of all Kroc Center personnel, volunteer, recruitment relations records, files, correspondence, reports, and organization charts
  • Assist in preparing and posting job/volunteer advertisements, screening applications and arranging interviews
  • Assist with Kroc staff training and orientation programs
  • Assist with coordinating volunteer and staff training events or programs and recommending resources, as needed

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED, and minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an administrative support role supporting an executive. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

 

  1. Equivalent combinations of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, as determined by The Salvation Army, will be considered.

 

  1. Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills to communicate and coordinate efforts with The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corp Community Center personnel, community leaders, community organizations and the general public.
