Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Communications Assistant is responsible for creating, reviewing and editing marketing communications content including written and graphic communications in print and on the internet, for the purpose of marketing the Quincy Salvation Army corps, which covers an eight county region, and the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Quincy (RJKCCC). The Marketing Communications Assistant will help execute branding and communications strategies, which may also include public relations for the Quincy corps and RJKCCC as directed. This position will assist the Marketing Department with updating the contents of local Salvation Army websites and social media and will also assist with the implementation of other online efforts. The employee in this position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies and standards.

Assist the development of innovative media content across print, web, mobile and email platforms.
Coordinate online activity with various departmental staff and within the Marketing Department to ensure proper online messaging, including relevancy and consistency of messages across multiple networks.
Responsible for daily posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets.
Education & Certifications:
Associate’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
A minimum of 2 years of related experience in marketing, advertising, public relations or closely related field.
