The Salvation Army Kroc Center has a terrific full-time ministry opportunity for the candidate with a love for youth.  This position offers a complete benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, pension, vacation, etc.  


Under the supervision of the Youth Development and Outreach Specialist, the Kroc Academy Lead is a Ministry position which is responsible for the development, promotion, and daily operation of all programming for the Kroc Academy.  This may include, but is not limited to, after school programs, School’s Out Camp and the Summer Day Camp.

  1. Lead, coordinate, participate and provide oversight and support of the various Kroc Academy programs, including specific attention to child evangelism, after school programs, School’s Out Day Camps, Summer Day Camp and other proposed Kroc programs.
  2. Responsible for daily management of and planning for Kroc Academy programs, including but not limited to programming and lesson plans, budget, child safety and human resources.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to the above programs in the area of mission alignment and strengthening overall Kroc Center programming through:
    1. Qualitative and quantitative evaluations.
    2. Achievement of program balance within the overall mission and vision of the Kroc Center.
    3. Goal-setting and measure of program effectiveness.



Education & Certifications:  

  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. 



  • Have at least two years of experience in developing, planning, managing and supervising children’s programs and ministry resources, strategies, materials, etc. 
  • Have successful experience in supervising and managing a professional staff and volunteers. 
  • A combination of training and directly related experience will be considered.
