Job Objective: Thrift store operations in Green Bay.


Essential Functions: This job description should not be interpreted as all inclusive. It is intended to identify the essential functions and requirements of this position.   • Provide excellent customer service. Offer volunteers a welcoming and helpful work environment.
  • Accurately operate cash register and closing procedures daily.
  • Assist with sorting, pricing, display and sales of donations.
  • Maintain neat and orderly appearance of store.
  • Greet, help and offer receipt to donors.
  • Assist clients with voucher redemptions.
  • Distributing and loading of recyclable donations.
  • Train and assist staff, volunteers, community service workers and senior aides.
  • Other duties as assigned and appropriate for this position.

 Materials and Equipment: Uses a variety of office and technological equipment including a register, computer, fax machine, telephone, projectors, printers and copiers.


Minimum Qualifications:


The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. 


Education:       Eighth grade education or equivalent.


Experience:     Six months cash handling experience.


Certifications:  N/A




·         Excellent math skills.

·         General computer functions.

·         Work well with others and great customer service skills.

·         Enthusiastically embrace the ever changing retail environment.

This job is performed indoors in normal room temperature conditions and outdoors. When the duties require being outdoors, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.


At times the duties will involve working with individuals having infectious and/or communicable diseases.
