    We are currently looking for people who love the water to train to work in our swim instruction program! We offer a great starting wage with shift differentials paid to teach on Saturday mornings and an increased wage if you also become a certified lifeguard.

    Swim Instructors will be responsible for planning and teaching group and private lessons at The Salvation Army Kroc Center


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  This job description should not be interpreted as all inclusive.  It is intended to identify the essential functions and requirements of this position.  The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related responsibilities and tasks other than those stated in this job description.


    1. Instruct assigned classes.
    2. Adapt teaching approaches to the age, experience level, and ability of participants so that they meet course objectives.
    3. Communicate regularly with participants to ensure they are aware of progress.
    4. Complete records and reports in a timely manner and return them to the Aquatics Supervisor.
    5. Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
    6. Enforce all pool rules.




    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Will train! 1+ years of swim lesson experience with a wide variety of ages and abilities is preferred.


    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: First Aid, CPR and AED certification must be obtained within 90 days of hired and we provide the training in-house! American Red Cross Lifeguard certification is a plus!
