Ensure that all aspects of the camper experience are conducted in a compliant fashion for The Salvation Army “Safe From Harm” program.
Report before staff meal to fill dish machine. Responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the automatic dishwasher. Report any problems to the duty cook. Daily record water temperature levels for wash and rinse cycles.
Wash pots and pans. Complete the washing after each meal. Leave sinks neat and clean when finished. Scour after each washing and keep area uncluttered.
Keep inventory on dish washing soap and chemicals and report when it is getting low.
Wash floor of dish washing rooms after every meal. Mop used is to be kept clean and hung in proper place after each use.
Wash dishes thoroughly. DO NOT HANDLE CLEAN DISHES AFTER TOUCHING SOILED DISHES WITHOUT SANITIZING HANDS FIRST.
Sweep and mop kitchen area each evening.
Sweep and spot mop kitchen area between meals. Clean and hang mop in proper place after each use.
Keep pots and pans storage area washed and clean.
Help mop any spills during meals as needed.
Help with cleaning during special clean-up.
Take out dining room and kitchen trash after each meal. Rinse out trash cans and put in can liners. Break down boxes and smash cans.
Perform daily cleaning responsibilities to assure the continued good operation of the food service program.
Clean bathroom in kitchen daily, and replenish supplies as needed.
Help the cook and food servers with lifting and moving food supplies and inventory. Help put away deliveries.
Bring supplies from store rooms as directed by Food Service Manager and Cooks.
No one is to leave before all the work is finished.
All other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Camp Administration.
