Responsibilities

Ensure that all aspects of the camper experience are conducted in a compliant fashion for The Salvation Army “Safe From Harm” program.

 

Follow directions of Dining Room Supervisor.

 

Serve meals as directed.  See that you use the proper portioning utensils as listed on the production record.

 

Help keep line stocked as needed.  Let Cook and Cook's Assistant know ahead of time if the line will need anything.

 

Always be polite to campers, staff and visitors.

 

Work quickly and efficiently when on the line.

 

Help make juice, cold beverage, ice tea, coffee.

 

Put cereal, milk, juice and other cooler items away immediately after service is completed.

 

Clean serving line, counters, tables and any other assigned areas after meals.

 

Milk and cereal must be counted and the number given to cook for the food production records.  (juice also)

 

Sweep/mop spills up.  After the supper meal and the tables have been cleaned put chairs up on the tables and sweep the dining room floor.

 

Clean and sanitize Great Lakes Center upper level bathrooms daily.

 

No-one is to leave before all the work is finished.

 

Assist campers in scraping trays and clearing tables after meals.

 

Fill and set out condiments for each meal as assigned.

 

Complete duties in dish room on daily rotation

 

All other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Camp Administration.
