Responsibilities

Ensure that all aspects of the camper experience are conducted in a compliant fashion for The Salvation Army “Safe From Harm” program.

 

Dining Room:

 

Maintain an orderly dining room, reporting any problems with campers to the Program Director.

Be responsible for greeting the campers as they enter the dining room and help direct them to their seats.

Notify the officer of the day when campers may come to the serving lines.

Be responsible for greeting special guests and speakers who eat meals.

Help with staff parties, picnics.

Help with special decorations for meals as requested.

Help with special food requests i.e. picnics, snacks.

Assign and oversee campers cleaning of tables and scraping dishes.

 

Supervise Food Servers ensuring food delivery exceeds requisites of ServSafe protocols for food service staff and environment.

 

Supervise, with efficiency and courtesy:

 

Serving of meals; with use of proper portion sizes as listed on production sheet.

Cleaning of tables after meals.

Cleaning of assigned areas; coffee service, sweeping & spot mopping after each meal.

Schedule personnel for daily and weekly duty routines.

You may need to help serve meals at times.

Prep dining room condiments and service caddies for each meal.

Plan ahead for next meals.

Set dining room for special events and meals.

 

Between camps, direct servers in thorough cleanup of dining room, service line, milk coolers, counters, etc.

 

Document on production sheets milk counts for each meal.

 

Complete USDA meal counts as needed.

 

All other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Camp Administration.

 

Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age.
