Overview

Supervises the operation of the bric-a-brac section o the warehouse operatopms by performing the following duties

Responsibilities

1.   Oversees the production of the Bric-a-Brac department.

2.   Manage the evalutaion and packaing of all Bric-a-Brac: including cleaning, wrapping and preparation for shipping.

3.   Report to the Director of Operations any unauthorized entry into work area

4.   Use back guard provided when doing any substantial lifting or moving

5.   Support the mission of The Salvation Army.

 

OTHER DUTIES:   Other duties as assigned by supervisor or administrator.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Supervises processors following Salvation Army policies and applicable laws.,

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One (1) year Bric-a-Brac department experience.,  Supervisory experience preferred.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correcpondence, and memos.  Ability to

effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees and administration.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense undestanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CLERICAL/MATHEMATICS SKILLS

Ability to add and substract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide.  Ability to perform these operations

using units of American money and weight measurments.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regulary exposed to a warehouse environment.
