Overview

The Membership Services Support Attendant responsibilities are the execution of the day to day operations and workflow of the Welcome Desk, Child Watch and Game Room at the Kroc in Green Bay. This individual must be knowledgeable on facility programs, able to communicate that knowledge effectively, and be able to complete the necessary paperwork associated with the program.  It is essential the Membership Services Support Attendant is able to multi-task in a fast pace environment and be adaptable to an ever-changing atmosphere.  

Responsibilities

Membership Services:

  1. Must be thoroughly knowledgeable on facility programs and services, able to communicate that knowledge effectively and able to complete all necessary paperwork associated with the programs and The Welcome Desk.
  2. Ensure all requests are met and tasks completed in a professional, timely, seamless and confidential manner.
  3. Collect user fees, sell daily admissions, gift cards, issue guest passes. Operate computer and software system including class searches. Confirm printed receipts and membership ID cards.
  4. Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department. Report problems/issues to appropriate departmental supervisors as necessary.
  5. Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of support.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers.
  7. Assist in emergencies or treatment of injured children, members and guests. Complete appropriate incident report forms as needed.
  8. Assist in providing direction to members and guests in moving about the facility to avoid crowded conditions and maximize service efficiency.
  9. Responsible for the accurate and consistent collection of revenue. Ensures revenues are handled according to policies and procedures.
  10. Handles communication matters with customers in person, over the phone or electronically.
  11. Cross-trained in policies and procedures regarding Memberships and Scholarships, providing this support when needed.Responsible for ensuring Welcome Desk is stocked with up-to-date program brochures and general facility information.
  12. While touring the facility, enforce center rules and regulations. Report any problems/concerns to Membership Services Supervisor or MOD (Manager on Duty). Light housekeeping functions will be expected.
  13. Be available to work weeknights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility is required in availability. 

Child Watch:

  1. Patiently supervise multiple children.
  2. Communicate effectively with children and parents / guardians.
  3. Handle difficult situations with speed, tact and fairness.
  4. Maintain a high level of enthusiasm.
  5. Organize and execute age appropriate activities for children both individually and in groups.
  6. Assist in the cleaning of toys and other materials used in the Fun Depot.
  7. Maintain a safe environment for staff and participants. 
  8. Be available to work weeknights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility is required in availability.

 

Game Room:

  1. Create an environment that facilitates the outcomes of the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets for Youth.
  2. Promote and stimulate program participation.
  3. Provide role modeling and guidance to youth.
  4. Prepare activity reports as required.
  5. Ensure all equipment is in working order and safe to use.  Report broken equipment or replacement needs to supervisor.
  6. Be available to work weeknights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility is required in availability.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in similar responsibilities, including cash-handling.

- OR -

  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: First Aid, CPR and AED Certification to be obtained within first 90 days of employment.
