Overview

SUMMARY

Assists with all aspects of the daily HR departmental functions to ensure the workplace is always running efficiently.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare and update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, terminating, etc.
  1. Assist with weekly new hire orientation and ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed.
  1. Assist with electronic timekeeping data entry and entering schedules.
  1. Assist with processing background checks, Motor Vehicle Reports, and all paperwork related to the pre-employment process.
  1. Act as liaison to new and existing employees relative to explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards.
  1. Assist in any other areas of the Human Resources department as needed.

OTHER DUTIES:         

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no assigned supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources; Experience in HRIS and ADP payroll systems (preferably E-time and Enterprise version 5); Some knowledge of employment laws or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, invoices, operating instructions, etc.  Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate with individual beneficiaries, employees, and vendors.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.

 

Clerical/Mathematics Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.

The work environment for this position is an office environment with quiet noise levels.
