Overview

The busy Human Resources Department of a large Salvation Army Division has a newly created position that will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating a number of compliance and related administrative programs.

Responsibilities

By far the greatest responsibility of this position will be to ensure compliance with the Army’s Safe From Harm program across all ARCs and stores.  This will involve maintaining files on those trained at different levels; training Safe From Harm or Train The Trainer classes; following up on Safe From Harm reports, and responding to inquiries from the field regarding Safe From Harm policy and procedure.

 

In addition, this position will also oversee other compliance programs that occur more periodically or infrequently, such as Pension administration, annual OSHA reporting, annual MVR updates, and serving as backup to other HR functions.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be meticulously well organized with excellent organizational skills along with extreme accuracy and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.  Applicants should possess a high level of computer skills and technical understanding of software applications, especially Excel and database management.  The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to present training programs to employees with a variety of education and experience levels.  We are looking for two or more years of college plus at least three years working in a professional business office, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
