Overview

Kettle Coordinator is responsible for performing daily tasks necessary for running the Red Kettle Campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Completing route maps for kettle driver.
  • Verifying and printing bell ringer schedule.
  • Contacting via phone volunteer bell ringers to schedule ringing times.
  • Call local businesses to sign them up for kettle sponsorship. 
  • Organizing kettle pick-ups to include writing out bucket slips.
  • Overseeing kettle drivers. 
  • Managing campaign website for volunteer sign-ups. 
  • Managing 2-3 paid bell ringers and assigning them to unmanned kettle locations. 
  • Responsible for sorting kettle money with volunteers. 
  • Responsible for entering daily funds into tracking spreadsheet and on-line SA tracker. 
  • Drop off and pick up kettles when kettle driver is unavailable. 
  • May be asked to assist in other seasonal tasks as well. 

Qualifications

Education: N/A

 

Certifications: Valid driver's license with approval to drive from TSA's insurance carrier required. 

 

Experience: Dealing with people in a customer service or sales role. 

 

Skills: 

  • Competent computer skills. 
  • Good oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must be trustworthy and able to work without supervision. 
  • Ability to work well with others. 
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on assignments. 
  • Ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment.

Travel: Local, for picking up supplies, kettles, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. 

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

 

At times the duties will involve working with or around individuals having infectious and/or communicable diseases.
