Part-Time Kettle Coordinator - Service Extension

To manage the Red Kettle Campaign in their local community.


  • Organize and conduct communication with local businesses to seek approval for The Salvation Army to conduct the Red Kettle Campaign at their location.
  • Organize and conduct communication to recruit local volunteers to schedule bell ringing activities.
  • Organize and conduct communication to coordinate the collection of the donations and secure in a local banking institution. This includes recording amounts collected daily and submitting weekly these funds to Divisional Headquarters.
  • Maintain, inventory and store all Red Kettle Campaign equipment.
  • Maintain an active volunteer file system.


Reports directly to the local Service Extension Field Representative.


Supervision Received:

This position is directly supervised by the local Service Extension Field Representative. Position is monitored on a weekly basis. However the freedom to recruit, create and implement ideas do exist.


Supervision of Others:

Direct supervisor of volunteers who are helping with kettle. This may involve several hundred individuals.


Education and Experience:

High School Diploma. Must be a people orientated individual. The ability to work independently with initiative and have the ability to handle and perform in crisis situations. Able to adhere and uphold The Salvation Army mission statement.
