POSITION TITLE: AV Technician
LOCATION/DEPT.: Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center
REPORTS to (TITLE): Business Director
The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center of Chicago exist to express the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army through a safe, enriching and sacred environment where all individuals have access to opportunities to reach their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential. Maintain day-to-day operations of events needing Audio Visual (AV) /sound setup and operations. Assist with desktop and laptop computer hardware and software in the Ray & Joan Kroc Center as it relates to AV/Sound setups. Provide technical advice to help people effectively use computer software and hardware with a focus on the operation of equipment and software used in the development and delivery of audiovisual presentations. Be available to operate and tech AV equipment in the center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is required to do moderate physical work. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use standard PC and AV equipment. The work environment for this position includes a community center environment with a medium to high noise level. Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
