Provides vision and direction to the staff for all programmatic functions of The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center. The program functions include: Assessment/Referral, Detoxification, Residential Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Program and Transitional Housing. Assures that the consumer is provided the highest quality of addiction services utilizing the most up-to-date research methods and theories.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and LAC required. Master’s Degree in Addictions or Social work strongly preferred. Condition of hire within 3 years must complete a Masters Degree in Addictions, Social work or closely related field. Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor is preferred.
Experience: Experience providing in a Social Services setting. Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
Certifications: Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) required, Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor preferred. Must have a valid chauffeur driver’s license within 60 days of hire.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership staff and consumers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong leadership, relational and networking skills.
