The Salvation Army Kroc Center is seeking an energetic Full Time Seasonal Administrative Assistant to support our Christmas Progams. This position begins October 1st and runs through December 17. 


The Seasonal Christmas Office Administrative Assistant will assist with data entry, answering all calls regarding Christmas programs including but not limited to Angel Tree, bell ringing, and Adopt a Family. Will solicit volunteers for all Christmas programs via phone, in person and email and scheduling of volunteers for Angel Tree, bell ringing and paid bell ringers. Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed; hours of operation may vary.


  • Greet, screen and direct visitors/clients to the appropriate staff
  • Data entry
  • Seasonal clerical assignments as the need requires
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned
  • Answer the telephone and give information to caller or route calls to appropriate staff in a friendly manor
  • Communicate clearly & effectively
  • Be empathetic and non-judgmental
  • Complete interviews and paperwork for all Christmas programs
  • Call on businesses and organization for recruiting of volunteers via phone, email and in person
  • Conduct phone interviews with clients selected to participate in various Christmas Programs
  • Volunteer coordination of Angel Tree program


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Six months experience in or related combination of education & experience.
  • Interpersonal skills suitable to working with a broad variety of people.
  • Ability to type and perform data entry
  • Ability to operate and/or learn to operate basic office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
