Key Responsibilities

1. Promote the Mission of The Salvation Army.
2. Participate in and provide leadership for the general camp program.
3. Supervise the opening and closing of the camp at large.
4. Offer emotional support and guidance to campers and counselors.
5. Assist Kroc Activities Manager in scheduling programming for camps.
6. Maintain necessary records and complete requested forms and reports.
7. Supervise all counselors and maintain all counselors’ schedules.
8. Relay problems in unit to the Kroc Activities Manager.
9. Assist in evaluating Counselors at end of camp session.

1. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
2. Have at least three years of successful experience working with youth.
3. Experience working in a camp setting preferred.
4. Strong desire and ability to work with children and parents.
5. Ability and confidence to assist in teaching a variety of activities.
6. Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
7. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Thrive in a team oriented environment. Be a team player .
9. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality as needed.
