You will be responsible for prmoting the Mission of The Salvation Army and relate joufully and sensitively to children of all ages by assiting and facilitation all of our daily camp activities.  

Counselors will observe all saftety rules and regulations and use approriate and positive discipline as need. 


Other Duties Include:

  1. Promote the Mission of The Salvation Army
  2. Relate joyfully and sensitively to children of all ages.
  3. Assist in facilitating all daily camp activities.
  4. Observe all safety rules and regulations.
  5. Use appropriate positive discipline consistently.
  6. Assist in emergencies or treatment of injured participants or staff. Follow up with completion of appropriate paperwork as directed.
  7. Ensure that parents and youth alike view the Kroc Center as a safe area for youth and a place to turn in time of need.
  8. Ensure the adherence to all safety and risk management policies and procedures for all specific camp designated spaces of the facility
  9. Serve as a positive role model for the youth of the community.
  10. Display integrity, enthusiasm and sound moral judgment.


  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Have at least one year of successful experience working with youth.
  3. Strong desire and ability to work with children and parents.
  4. Ability and confidence to assist in teaching a variety of activities.
  5. Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
