This position is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours a week.  Regular Saturdays and some holidays are required.


This position is expected to perform all functions of a thrift store worker. This includes but is not limited to: Working with customers; lifting and carrying donated/ purchased items; sorting clothes; pricing items; preparing and placing items for display on the sales floor; operating a cash register and making change for purchased items. 


  1. Interact with customers and other staff in a manner which promotes positive relationships.
  2. Sort donated items.
  3. Price donated items.
  4. Place donated items on racks/shelves for display.
  5. Assist in loading and unloading of the store’s truck, customers’ vehicles, and/or donors’ vehicles.
  6. Perform clerk/cashier activities.
  7. Perform store custodial duties as directed to include: wash windows, dust, clean bathroom, sweep/vacuum/mop floors, carry out trash, etc. Each employee may be assigned to clean the break area.  It should also be understood that it is the job of all store workers to help keep the showroom clean and neat at all times when the store is open.



Education:  High school/equivalent diploma.


Experience:   One year related work experience or two years’ work experience without diploma.  Combination of education and work experience will be considered.
