This is an excellent full-time position that typically works 40 hours a week.  Alternating Saturdays required.  Full benefit package includes:  health/dental/vision/hearing insurance, life insurance, pension as well as paid vacation, holidays, and sick.


Assists Store Manager with Family Store receiving, processing and pricing of donations and purchased materials.  This position is also expected to work in coordination with the Store Manager and Sales Floor Supervisor in the overall operation of the store.  This position is expected to perform the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. 


  1. In the absence of the Family Store Manager, this position assumes a leadership role for the Donation Center and takes on management responsibilities.
  2. Develop systems, in coordination with the Store Manager, for the efficient receiving, processing and pricing of donated items.
  3. Oversee, in coordination with the Store Manager, the overall organization and cleanliness of the receiving, processing, pricing and warehouse areas of the store.
  4. Develop an effective method of staging priced merchandise for the Sales Floor Clerks and Cashiers to efficiently stock the retail floor of the store.
  5. Assist in supervising employees, community service workers and volunteers in the performance of duties to ensure compliance with directives and guidelines.
  6. Assist in providing orientation, training and evaluation of employees, community service workers and volunteers.
  7. Assist Store Manager with addressing any personnel issues.
  8. Assist in scheduling workers assigned to the receiving and processing areas to ensure coverage at all times.
  9. Share in the rotation for the opening and closing procedures of the store along with the Store Manager and Sales Floor Supervisor. This assignment includes, but is not limited to, the reconciliation of daily receipts and cash handling procedures.


Education:  High school/equivalent diploma.


Experience:   Three years related work experience. Combination of education and experience will be considered.  Supervisory experience preferred.
