This is a regular part-time position with a work schedule of 1p to 6p Monday thru Friday.
Under the direct supervision of the Food Donation and Distribution Coordinator, this position is expected to perform all functions of a cook. This includes but is not limited to: ensuring efficient operation of the kitchen and dining area; preparation and serving of meals; and clean-up of kitchen and dining area. Position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies and standards.
Education & Certifications: High school degree or equivalent. Must have or obtain within the orientation period a valid food handling certificate.
Experience: A minimum of one year cooking experience. Able to comply with recipes, safety handling instructions and job description. Medically qualified to work in food service area. Able to prepare meals in large quantities.
