    The Salvation Army Mission Statement

    OBJECTIVE: Clean facilities to be sanitary and presentable. Might be needed to occasionally work on Saturdays to prepare for incoming groups. Hours can be flexible.


    Sweep, mop, dust, clean, wipe, scrub to clean buildings.
     Trash collection.
     Launder linens, bed covers and blankets.
     Instruct, mentor and train seasonal/temporary staff and volunteers in the proper use of equipment and housekeeping procedures.
     Maintain organized work and storage areas.
     Execute operating, safety, and cleaning instructions of all cleaning equipment.
     Any additional duties that may be assigned from time to time.



    Skilled in all areas of cleaning and sanitation.
     Experience in using cleaning equipment and systems.
     Valid Michigan Chauffeurs driver’s license.

    Must be able to lift/load/unload/move camp furnishings, (beds. tables, chairs, etc.); traverse around 188 acres of hilly outdoor camp terrain; have physical strength and stamina to lift cleaning supplies and equipment, load and unload laundry, clean, mop, vacuum etc., for extended periods of time.
